A map of some of my favorite and planned routes in central Texas.
Flexible hours and the ability to work almost entirely out of a laptop or tablet have to be some of the most freeing luxuries of college student life. As someone about to graduate, the threat of being gainfully employed for the next 60-odd years is looming overhead as a reminder that I've yet to look up from my schoolwork and make the most out of this small window of time between childhood and actual adulthood.

At the time of writing, different job offers and interviews are still in the air, but it's likely that I will have to move away from central Texas and towards the coastal regions of the U.S for work. While these areas contain many places I've always dreamt about visiting, the possibility of a change in scenery put into perspective how many places I've yet to explore in my home state alone.

The inspiration for this project came from my first year trip planner, it was a small google doc full of interesting shops, architectural landmarks, and neighborhoods which I'd try to go and explore by public transit every weekend of my freshman year. This bucket list is the spiritual continuation of that philosophy where every weekend was an opportunity to explore something new. Sometimes this may come in the form of a long multi-day trip across the state while others may be a visit to some mundane place I've always wondered about but never taken the time to go see.

Obviously, it may not be possible to document every single trip in great detail but I hope to at least give outlines of larger adventures and compilations of smaller things in the Austin area which I think are worth a visit.

A corny message to the reader: Benjamin Franklin said a lot of things (for better or for worse), but I think his quote "Lost time is never found again" is particularly apt here. If you happen to be reading this, I highly suggest looking inward and following even the slightest desire for adventure which beckons from within you.
